Mark Waxman

Mark Waxman

Upon graduating cum laude from UCLA with a BA and MFA in Cinema, Mr. Waxman joined CBS, becoming the youngest network programming executive in the history of broadcasting. After several years of developing prime time comedy and drama series for CBS, he rose to the rank of Vice President. During that time, he also wrote for the popular daytime drama, The Young and the Restless.

In addition to holding the positions of Program Director and Director of Program Development for Los Angeles public television station KCET, he wrote, produced and directed over 500 hours of local and national programming for PBS, earning several Emmy Awards along the way.

While on staff at various studios (Columbia, TriStar, MTM, Sony and Fox), he wrote, produced and directed several series, specials and movies for television; and he continues – under a long-term contract – to be the sole NBC writer (and two-time Emmy nominee) for America’s most watched non-sports program, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Sky Pony Press released Mr. Waxman’s comedic children’s book, The McVentures of Me, Morgan McFactoid, in January 2016.
